Who we are:

Airband is a wireless mesh broadband network in Durban. Our coverage is from Ballito, Umhlanga and Mount Edgecombe in the north to the airport in the south. Pinetown and Pietermaritzburg are also covered in the west. The Network has been running since November 2006. It provides reliable, robust and fast internet or intersite connection for many customers. These customers include Garlicke and Bousfield, Grindrod, Bearingman, Strand Group, AME (Africa).

The network, billing systems and monitoring systems were designed by Airband (UK). This network has successfully operated in the UK for over 6 years providing broadband internet. Airband uses the unlicensed frequencies 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz and utilises WiFi technology.
